Since its creation on May 27, 2012, the NGO Ecotourisme C\u00f4te d’Ivoire (ECO-CI) has established itself as a key player in sustainable development and tourism promotion in C\u00f4te d’Ivoire. Committed to social mobilization, women’s empowerment, the fight against climate change, and the preservation of natural and cultural heritage, it is also involved in promoting agrotourism, a rapidly expanding sector.
\nThanks to a meticulous inventory of the natural and cultural riches of the Montagnes District, the NGO has identified numerous exceptional sites, true gems for Ivorian and international tourism.<\/p>\n

An Exceptional Natural and Cultural Heritage<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Montagnes District is home to unique natural and cultural wonders, ideal for an immersive and authentic experience. Among the sites listed by the NGO ECO-CI are:<\/p>\n

Magnificent landscapes and preserved natural sites
\nMount Sangb\u00e9 National Park, located between Biankouma,<\/p>\n

Touba, and S\u00e9gu\u00e9la, a refuge for flora and fauna.<\/p>\n

Mount P\u00e9ko National Park, an ecological gem in the Gu\u00e9mon region.<\/p>\n

Mount Nimba Strict Nature Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, shared between C\u00f4te d’Ivoire, Guinea, and Liberia.<\/p>\n

The Zad\u00eapleu Natural Waterfalls in Man, ideal for a refreshing getaway.<\/p>\n

The Sacred Monkey Forest of Gb\u00eapleu in Man, a legendary site where nature and spirituality coexist.<\/p>\n

The Gleugoual\u00e9 Rock, an impressive and symbolic rock formation.<\/p>\n

Gu\u00e9l\u00e9mou, the site where Almamy Samory Tour\u00e9 was arrested, is a site steeped in history.<\/p>\n

The “Manon Festival”: a showcase for agrotourism and local culture<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n

To promote this exceptional heritage, the NGO ECO-CI organizes the Manon Festival (Festival of Agrotourism, Arts, Culture, and the Promotion of Rural Women) every year. This large gathering, which brought together more than 30,000 participants during the 7th edition, from May 10 to 12, 2024, in Logoual\u00e9, highlights the traditions, agricultural know-how and legendary hospitality of the people of the Mountain District.<\/p>\n

Ecotourism in Tonkpi<\/span><\/h2>\n

The NGO \u00c9cotourisme C\u00f4te d’Ivoire (ECO-CI) is committed to this goal by promoting tourism that respects the environment and local communities.<\/p>\n

Identifying and cataloguing all tourist sites in the region.
\nRaising awareness among local populations and visitors about environmental protection and respect for cultures.<\/p>\n

Providing economic opportunities for residents through sustainable tourism activities.<\/p>\n

Encourage authentic exchanges between tourists and local communities.<\/p>\n

Develop appropriate ecological infrastructure for a harmonious tourist experience.<\/p>\n
